NewImages is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making immersive art a shared culture.

Born from the legacy of NewImages Festival, launched in 2018 by the Forum des images in Paris, NewImages became an independent nonprofit organization in 2025 to continue and expand its mission: supporting immersive creation, connecting artists and cultural venues, and making new forms of storytelling accessible to all.

At the heart of our work is a strong mission of transmission. We believe that immersive art should not remain limited to specialists or innovation circles: it should be understood, experienced and shared by everyone. Through mediation, workshops, training programs and encounters with artists, NewImages helps audiences, especially younger generations, develop creativity, critical thinking and the confidence to engage with emerging forms of images and technology.

We support artists, cultural venues and communities through festivals, residencies, professional programs, workshops and international collaborations. From virtual reality and augmented reality to interactive, digital and hybrid experiences, we help immersive creation become more visible, meaningful and widely shared.

Each year, NewImages Festival brings together artists, producers, curators, cultural institutions, industry professionals and audiences around some of the most innovative immersive works. Both a public festival and an international professional platform, it has become a key meeting point for the XR and immersive arts ecosystem, and one of the world’s leading markets for immersive projects.

Throughout the year, NewImages Hub extends this mission through residencies, training sessions, workshops, mentoring programs and international cooperation projects. It supports artists at different stages of creation, helps cultural venues present immersive works, and creates opportunities for new audiences to discover, understand and make these new artistic forms their own.

With a network of more than 18,000 professionals, NewImages connects creators, producers, institutions, venues and communities in France and internationally. Our work is driven by a commitment to accessibility, transmission, cultural innovation, diversity, international cooperation and responsible approaches to technology.
